Requirements :

  • Requirements: Grade 12 plus 3 years National Diploma (NQF level 6) / Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in Financial Management or relevant qualifications. 1-3 years of relevant experience in the Government Financial Administration Environment. A valid code 8/code 10 driver’s license. No criminal record or any case pending against you. Knowledge and Skills: GPG and Departmental policies and procedures. In-depth knowledge of Public Service Regulatory Framework. Reporting procedures. In-depth knowledge of the Division of Revenue Act, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and Supply Chain Management Framework. Delegation of authority about the department of Community Safety. Understanding of the Department’s strategic objectives. Knowledge of BAS, PERSONAL, SAP, and other information management system. Public service budget process. Interpreting and evaluating information skills. Customer relations management skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Duties :

  • Assist in the collection of departmental revenue. Implement and maintain the departmental internal control system. Compile the fund’s requisition. Implement a sound departmental petty cash process. Respond to internal and external audit queries. Assist supervisor in the preparation of the interim and annual financial statements. Implements monthly surrenders. Reconciliation, collection, verification, identification, and monitoring of revenues. Keep records of revenues received. Support in compliance with any remedial measures imposed by Provincial Treasury
